Print on Print, how to style prints, mixing prints

I was a little hesitant about posting this outfit because when I googled for print on print, most of the posts were around 2014-2015. Is it okay to blog about an outdated fashion? Then I have altered the keywords a little and found that people in the fashion world still talk about prints.

I have already styled crop tops and palazzo pants but I guess this is the first time I am mix matching two different prints.

mixing prints

Firstly I selected 2 complementing colors and then 2 prints which did not clash with each other. This in a way falls under the bohemian print and style but I didn’t go full on bohemian as adding a bandanna, chunk of jewelry, beads etc. I was wearing a long beaded jhumka but it went invisible because I left my hair open. If you are going for a art or music festival, you can definitely sport this look.

how to style prints

This is just the way I wanted to style. If you check a few runway fashion trends, you will find some heavy geometrical prints, graphical prints, intense abstracts etc being styled.  Also, it is not compulsory that you should go for only ethnic, bohemian or hippie prints. Some formal and casual prints such as checks, stripes, plaits, floral etc can also be mix matched.

I was actually happy about the way I look in the pics. The no makeup face, tanned brown skin and the unstyled hair just added a natural raw element to the entire look.

Hope you guys liked the way I styled 2 different prints. I definitely wanna come up with a formal look in this same theme.
